This easily has to be one of the funniest pictures that I have ever taken. An observer might assume that I was stabbing him, or horrifying him in some way. (Perhaps it was the onions for lunch?) 

In actual fact - I was rubbing his round belly. 

Dearest Sam,

I know that our relationship has been strained since, well, forever…(mainly because you smell and slobber all over me)…But I just want you to know that you are a great dog that is filled with love and hilarity. I am sorry that my prickly nature has led to my being repulsed by you most of the time. And I am glad that over the past year and a half we have become far closer…

He even comes up and spends some quality time in my room! (I’m going to pretend he wants to grace himself with my presence and that it is not because I have the only comfy carpet left in the house)…
